Hey! I'm FFrostbite, im a Master midlaner on EUWand this guide is about my midlane
Kog'Maw
.
I mained him on my smurf last season and was undefeated until Diamond1. In my opinion he is super underrated and sleeper OP. In this guide I'm going to explain everything you need to know about him :)
If you have questions you can add me on EUW - Summoner Name: Frostbite
I'm also streaming, you can find me on the link below!
If you have bonus time please leave a follow on my twitch and twitter <3
Pros / Cons
you might ask yourself why someone should play an AD-Carry in Midlane while building AP items... well here are some answers:
1. % Damage
Kog'Maw
is good vs low HP Champions and Tanks due to his abilities!
Any poke mage is good vs squishy champs - none of them is good vs tanks with high HP and resistances tho - that's not true for
Kog'Maw
tho:
his Q -
Caustic Spittle
reduces the Armor and Magic Resistance of the target
his W -
Bio-Arcane Barrage
deals % max Health damage against
this makes him a useful pick vs everyone!
2. AP Scaling
All of
Kog'Maw
's abilites have an AP scaling - which makes it a good way to build him, since all your abilities will deal alot of damage.
his Q -
Caustic Spittle
has a 70% AP scaling
his W -
Bio-Arcane Barrage
adds 1% bonus autoattack dmg per 100 AP
his E -
Void Ooze
has a 70% AP scaling
his R -
Living Artillery
has a 35% AP scaling / 70% AP scaling if the target is under 40% HP
3. Range
Kog'Maw has an amazing range on his ablities, making him a really good poke champion
In this picture you can see:
1 is the range of
Lux
E Spell -
Lucent Singularity
2 is the range of
Xerath
Q Spell -
Arcanopulse
the furthest one is the range of lvl 16
Kog'Maw
R Spell -
Living Artillery
this range is super OP for a spell that has 1 second cooldown
Heres a video of the insane range - super OP
4. Unknown Pick
Nearly noone plays AP
Kog'Maw
mid, since its an offrole pick.
-> thats why nobody knows how to play against him
this is very helpful since:
nobody knows how much dmg you deal
nobody knows how to play the matchup
nobody expects your insane range
Runes
standard
vs low range
STANDARD RUNE PAGE
this page is good for bonus poke and damage in lane
pretty standard poke mage runes -
Arcane Comet
being the best keystone here
Manaflow Band
provides you a bigger mana pool,
Transcendence
gives you ability haste and
Gathering Storm
free scaling
as secondary page go Inspiration with
Future's Market
for faster buys and
Time Warp Tonic
for lane sustain
VS LOW RANGE
this page is really good against champions where u can abuse first strike. In combination with the other runes you have alot more gold available early game
go
First Strike
for bonus gold (if you have this rune always try to hit the enemy first when its ready and try to hit him with as many spells as possible)
Magical Footwear
provides you free boots,
Future's Market
faster buys and
Time Warp Tonic
more lane sustain
as secondary page go Sorcery with
Manaflow Band
for a bigger mana pool and
Transcendence
for ability haste
Summoner Spells
Teleport
standard secondary summoner - makes you get back to lane fast in early game when your mana pool is low. Also makes you able to sidelane and teleport into fights in midgame / lategame
Barrier
can be as good as
Teleport
(i often take this aswell). Used when enemys have alot of damage. You dont have any form of CC, so this can help when you are getting caught
Ghost
good if you need bonus mobility when the enemy team has alot of CC or skillshots / only good if you are good at dodging them with the bonus movement speed! Can also be helpful in situations where you want to chase people down with
Living Artillery
Exhaust
is good against burst assasins (like Zed, Qiyana, Akali, Rengar..) - just exhaust them when they try to burst you and you will survive their combo

Item Builds
Item Set
Mythic Choices
Choices
Liandry's Anguish
Item
super useful if the enemy team has atleast 2 high HP / Tank Champions (bruiser / tank top, bruiser jgl, tank supp for example). Is most often the best mythic choice.
Luden's Tempest
Item
super useful if the enemy team has only one or no high HP / Tank Champion (carry top like Akshan, carry jgl like Karthus, carry mid, enchanter supp). If they only have low HP champs like this go Luden's.
Crown of the Shattered Queen
Item
super useful vs burst assasins (such as Talon, Qiyana, Rengar)
When to buy which items?
you have 3 core items. These are your boots (most of the times
Sorcerer's Shoes
), your mythic (most of the times
Liandry's Anguish
) and
Seraph's Embrace
. This leaves you with 3 open item slots.
In the following I will explain which items you should build after that
Items
Shadowflame
Item
Shadowflame gives you Health, AP and flat Magic Penetration. All of these are super valuable for you. Generally its a good 4th item.
If the enemy team buys alot of Magic Resistance its better for you to buy Void stuff tho, since that item has % Magic Penetration.
Void Staff
Item
Makes a good 4th Item if the enemy team buys alot of Magic Resistance (buy instead of Shadowflame).
If the enemy team buys no Magic Resistance you can buy this as 5th item after Shadowflame.
Zhonya's Hourglass
Item
Makes a good item against certain burst champions like
Talon
,
Qiyana
,
Zed
or
Rengar
. Buy it so you dont die as easily against them. In some lane matchups you also want to rush
Seeker's Armguard
to not die as easily (more explanation later down in the "Matchups" part)
Rabadon's Deathcap
Item
After recent item changes you dont need this item super early in the game. Magic Penetration is more valuable for you early. It makes a good 4th, 5th or 6th item though.
You can buy it earlier in the game if youre snowballing and are super fed.
Horizon Focus
Item
Adds bonus damage to your poke. This item is generally really good on Kog'Maw, next to the other item options. You might want to build this instead of
Shadowflame
if you like it more. I personally like
Shadowflame
more though.
Honorable mention:
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
This item is ONLY good if your team has nearly no CC. This makes it really hard for you to hit your spells - most notably your R -
Living Artillery
. By building this item it makes it easier for you to hit spells and makes it easier for you to chase the enemys down.
IF your team has CC I dont recommend building this item, since other items are more valuable.
Here's a video of the power of
Rylai's Crystal Scepter
. The slow makes it easy to hit and chase down this Vladimir - with no counterplay for him.
Matchups
the following matchups are categorized into 3 tiers (hard, medium, easy)
there are comments and tips for every matchup (including items/summoners)
HARD
MEDIUM
EASY
Yasuo
Champion
HARD
- hard to poke because of his dashes
- can dash through your minions to poke you
- windwall blocks your Q,W,E
- his passive shield makes it hard to trade with him
In early game you have to play passive in lane and let him push. Try to farm safe under your turret. Let your team/jungler know that he has prio and can roam, while you cant - dont forget to buy control wards because of that!
At level 6 you can start oneshotting the minion wave with your basic CS combo (see below). Afterwards you can look for roams yourself.
I dont recommend fighting him in lane! Only go for some poke whenever he overextends, but if you go too far he can kill you (since you have no form of CC)
BUILD
you might want to go exhaust / barrier as second summoner here. If he is easily killing you: rush Seeker's Armguard before or after Lost Chapter for bonus armor. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Talon
Champion
HARD
- able to oneshot you easily at level 6 or even before
- you cant follow his roams
you can play aggresive level 1-2, since he doesnt have his jump by then. Skill W first and attack him as often as possible. After he has his jump be a bit more careful, since his combo can almost get you to 50%. Try to poke him with E whenever possible.
He will roam alot. Try to ward both river sides to give your team information. If he leaves the lane try to push, so he loses cs. If he shows up on another lane you can even go for platings - if he doesnt show up anywhere try to not overextend, since he can oneshot you.
BUILD
go exhaust or barrier as second summoner. Rush Seeker's Armguard and finish Zhonya's as 2nd or 3rd item since he can oneshot you. You can also consider building Crown as mythic here. Also you might want to go First Strike to farm more gold early game here.
Akali
Champion
HARD
- can easily oneshot you after level 6
- hard to hit when invisible
Before she hits level 6 you can poke her easily from range. She's weaker at this point and you can get a good lead. Just be careful to not get hit by her shurican, so she cant dash to you.
After level 6 she can easily oneshot you. Try not to get close to her, just try to farm by using your E and R. I recommend to not roam here, just try to push mid as often as possible to keep her busy in lane.
BUILD
go barrier as second summoner. You might want to rush Mercury's Treads for magic resistance and movement speed. Dont go Crown as mythic, she can pop the shield and wait for it to be gone too easily. Also you might want to go First Strike to farm more gold early game here.
Zed
Champion
HARD
- one mistake and you are dead
- cant stop his level 6 all-in
- he can freely roam
In early game you want to poke him as much as you can. After he is level 3 be a bit more careful, since his W-E-Q combo can hurt you alot.
After level 6 show alot of respect. He can kill or dive you easily since you have no form of CC or defensive in your kit. Farm from a distance with your E and R. If he cant kill you he will roam, so make sure to ward the river. Try not to follow his moves tho, since he could be hiding and oneshot you - just try to push your wave whenever possible.
BUILD
go barrier as second summoner. You NEED to rush Seeker's Armguard before Lost Chapter in this matchup or he will oneshot you easily at level 6. Dont go Crown as mythic. Rush Zhonya's as 2nd item after your mythic. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Fizz
Champion
HARD
- easily oneshots you at level 6
- hard to hit him because of his Q and E
- can easily roam
In early levels you want to poke him as much as you can. At Level 3 you have to be a bit more careful, but normally he only should be able to Q and W you and then E out, since you can easily hit him with your Q and E when he dashes to you.
After level 6 you need to have alot of respect. He can easily oneshot you if he lands his R. Try to safely farm with E and R and stack back. Ward both river sides incase of him roaming, but dont follow up because he might trap you - just push your wave and maybe go for platings if he is on another lane.
BUILD
go Barrier as second summoner. Rush Mercury Treads for bonus magic resistance and movement speed - this way you can dodge his R easier. If that is not enough you might even want to build Verdant Barrier and finish Banshee's Veil as 3rd Item. Rune doesnt matter - Arcane Comet and First Strike are both fine.
Katarina
Champion
HARD
- alot of jumps
- can oneshot you
- can easily roam
In early levels you can poke her pretty well. Be careful of her daggers - dont be on them or she may jump you and get free trades. If you play this part of the lane well you can get a pretty good lead.
At level 6 you have to respect her more, since she can onecombo you and you dont have any CC to stop her. Try to farm safe with E and R. Ward both river sides since she wants to roam and get kills on other lanes (typical Katarina gameplay). Dont follow her - just get alot of vision so your team knows where she is and instead push your lane and get platings. If she doesnt get kills on her roams its super worth for you.
BUILD
Go Barrier or Exhaust as secondary summoner. Make sure to rush Mercury's Treads for early magic resistance and movement speed. This way she cant oneshot you as easily. Dont go Crown in this matchup, since she can play around it pretty easily. Also you might want to go First Strike to farm more gold early game here.
Aurelion Sol
Champion
HARD
- easily pushes you in
- roams all the time
In early game (against a good Aurelion Sol player) you will just get pushed in all the time, nothing you can do against it. Try to farm as good as you can. You can still poke him pretty well early, but he is the stronger champ early.
Aurelion Sol will roam all the time, even on early levels. Theres nothing you can do against it and you cant follow him, since he is waaaay faster. Just try to give your team as much vision as possible to let them know about his moves. If he roams try to push and get platings - all you can do is pray, that your team doesnt die to his roams until you become strong enough.
BUILD
Pretty standard build. Nothing you can do against his playstyle (rushing Sorcerer's Boots still wont make you able to follow his roams). As rune go Arcane Comet.
Kassadin
Champion
HARD
- his early game is bad, you can build some lead here
- around level 6 he is way stronger
- his ults make it impossible to play against him
In early game you can try to poke him. Your W is a really good tool here, since he cant do anything against you attacking him. Most likely he will stay defensive until level 6.
After level 6 he will be more aggresive, since he can easily jump on you. At this point just farm safely with E and R and ward the river entrances to watch if he roams. You cant really do anything else sadly, since he can just run you down.
BUILD
Make sure to have some form of MR around level 6 (Mercury Treads). Besides that build normally. As rune go First Strike.
Ahri
Champion
MEDIUM
- you can trade pretty well vs her
- level 6 she can oneshot you
- she can roam easily
In early levels you can match her pretty well. Try to poke and attack her as often as you can. If she uses and misses her Charm you can play a bit more aggresive, since thats a huge tool for her.
At level 6 be a bit more careful. She can all-in you with all her spells if she play it well. Thats why you should try to keep your distance and poke her from a far. Be careful to follow her roams, since she might trap you and land an easy Charm into full combo on you. Often its better to just push and get platings.
BUILD
If you struggle against her rush Mercury Treads. This way you have some Magic Resistance and can dodge her spells more easily. You can also go Sorcerer's Shoes and build an early Verdant Barrier for MR (finishing Banshee's Veil later on is also useful against her Charm). As rune go Arcane Comet.
Anivia
Champion
MEDIUM
- you both are weak early game
- you both dont want to roam early
- you can fight her pretty well early
In early game you can poke her pretty well, since she is weak in the early game. All you have to do is dodge her Q or she will win trades with her huge E damage.
At level 6 you both are probably just pushing the waves as fast as you can. At this point you have to be careful to not walk into her range, or she could wall and ult you with no way for you to escape. If you stay out of her range it should be pretty easy for you though. You can even look to roam against her.
BUILD
standard itembuild is okay. Make sure to rush boots early to dodge her Q more easily. You can go First Strike as rune here.
Xerath
Champion
MEDIUM
- skill matchup, whoever hits more poke wins
- his early game is better
- your late game is better
In the early game its all about who hits more poke. You can match him pretty well, but normally he should win the trades - so try to dodge as good as you can while farming as good as you can.
At level 6 you can play a bit more aggressive. After hitting level 11 you should have the upper hand, so try to scale as good as you can until you beat him.
BUILD
Rush Sorcerer's Boots in this matchup, since you need them to dodge his skillshots. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Azir
Champion
MEDIUM
- he has a stronger early game
- can all-in you pretty easily
- you are stronger starting lvl 9-11
In early levels he will poke and push you easily. You can also poke him, but generally he should win the trades. At this point he should be able to push you in easily.
After level 6 you can push waves more easily with your E and R though. Push them in and look for roams. In lane you always have to be careful though, since he is able to glide in and shuffle you back.
BUILD
Pretty standard build. No need to worry about anything. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Cassiopeia
Champion
MEDIUM
- depends on cassio skill
- she wins early game
- hard to trade with her
In early levels try to stay ranged. She can easily fight you if you walk into her range. Just try to safely farm and let her push.
After level 6 you can be a bit more aggresive. Now you can easily farm and push waves. Your E is a good form of poke at this point, which is hard for her to dodge. Just make sure to stay far away from her.
BUILD
You might want to rush Mercury Treads since the MR helps and you will be faster then her in early game. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Orianna
Champion
MEDIUM
- she has a way better early game
- hard to fight her
- you are stronger starting level 9-11
You cant fight Orianna early since she is an extreme lane bully. Just stay defensive and farm safely. At this point she will grow a lead since you cant lasthit minions that easily.
After level 6 you can push and farm minions easier with your E and R spells. Around level 9 you should also be stronger then her if you have equal farm. You can also look for roams after pushing in the wave.
BUILD
You might consider rushing Mercury Treads if she is stomping you early. If everything is going even just build normally. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Viktor
Champion
MEDIUM
- he has a better early game
- hard to fight him
- you are stronger starting level 9-11
You cant fight Viktor early since he has good trading spells. Just stay defensive and farm safely.
After level 6 you can push and farm minions easier with your E and R spells. Around level 9 you should also be stronger then him if you have equal farm. You can also look for roams after pushing in the wave. Always stay out of his range though, since he can easily chase you down with his spells and you have no way of escaping his R.
BUILD
You might consider rushing Mercury Treads if he is stomping you early. If everything is going even just build normally. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Syndra
Champion
MEDIUM
- she has a way better early game
- hard to fight her
- you are stronger starting level 9-11
You cant fight Syndra early since she is an extreme lane bully.
Vel'Koz
Champion
Lux
Champion
MEDIUM
- skill matchup, whoever hits more poke wins
- her early game is better
- your late game is better
In the early game its all about who hits more poke. You can match her pretty well, but normally she should win the trades - so try to dodge as good as you can while farming as good as you can.
At level 6 you can play a bit more aggressive. After hitting level 11 you should have the upper hand, so try to scale as good as you can until you beat her.
BUILD
Rush Sorcerer's Boots in this matchup, since you need them to dodge his skillshots. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Lissandra
Champion
EASY
- low range -> easy to poke
- can fight her always in lane
- can't really oneshot you
In early levels you can easily poke Lissandra due to her low range. In lane you only have to be careful of her Q poke - thats why you shouldnt stay behind minions when she kills them / wants to hit you.
After level 6 you have to be a bit more careful. Lissandra has an easy gank setup due to her CC. Make sure to ward both river entrances, so that they cant gank you as easily. If he is often around mid just safely farm with E and R and scale.
BUILD
I recommend rushing Mercury Treads against her. The Tenacity does wonders against her and possible ganks. Besides that build normal. As rune you can try First Strike here, since you can easily poke her.
Vladimir
Champion
EASY
- low range -> you can poke him early
- he has good lane sustain tho
- cant oneshot you that easily
In early levels you can easily poke him. Just make sure to stay out of his range / keep your distance. Just make sure to not waste your entire mana pool. He doesn't need mana and can heal himself pretty well, so keep that in mind.
After level 6 you can start poking him more. At this point you should have Tear and Lost Chapter, making your Mana Pool big enough for that. At this point you can build your lead. Later on you have to be careful tho, since he an oneshot you when he has 2-3 items - but you should be fine when you keep distance.
BUILD
Pretty standard build against him. Only make sure to rush Oblivion Orb against him, to reduce his healing! This is really important. As rune you can go First Strike here.
LeBlanc
Champion
EASY
- can deal alot of damage
- you outrange her
In early levels you have to be a bit careful against her. Try to stay safe and farm to scale up. If you have good reaction times you can 100% hit her with Q and E when she dashes forward, which is a good way to trade with her.
After level 6 and after having some MR you should be fine. You can easily push out waves with E and R, which makes it impossible for her to roam. Just keep pressuring her in lane.
BUILD
Rush some MR early, for example with Mercury Treads. Besides that pretty standard build. As rune you can go Arcane Comet.
Malzahar
Champion
EASY
- can poke him due to his low range
- farm matchup
- cant oneshot you
In early levels or generally in lane this is a pure farm matchup. You have to kill his spawned minions to make it harder for him to push. You can also poke him always due to his low range.
After level 6 he will just try to waveclear and roam. Just waveclear yourself with E and R to stop him from being able to roam. This will just a waveclear battle, but you scale way better which makes it fine for you. Be careful with his R tho, since it is an extreme good gank setup.
BUILD
Pretty standard build. You might want to build Quicksilver Slash. This is really good against his R. Just use it after he ults you. As rune you can go First Strike or Arcane Comet, both are fine.
Twisted Fate
Champion
EASY
- cant oneshot you
- low range -> you can poke him easily
- only problem is his R roam
In early game you can fight and poke him pretty easily. He also cant push as easily in the first few levels. Because of this you can freely scale, which is perfect for you.
After level 6 you have to be careful. This is when he wants to roam the map with his R. Most of the times he will try to push and then gank other lanes. This is why you want to push aswell with your E and R. You sadly cant follow his roams, thats why you should just push and get platings. Also make sure to ward the middle of the lane infront of his turret, so you can see where he is going when he wants to ult. This helps your team.
BUILD
Pretty normal build. You can go First Strike or Arcane Comet.
Ziggs
Champion
EASY
- whoever hits more poke wins, his poke is harder to hit on long range tho
- you are even in early game
- your late game is better
In the early game its all about who hits more poke. You can match him pretty well. His abilites are more close range, which is good for you. The only way for him to hit you on range is with his Q. So try to dodge as good as you can while farming as good as you can.
At level 6 you can play a bit more aggressive. You can poke him easily now, try to build a lead now.
BUILD
Rush Sorcerer's Boots in this matchup, since you need them to dodge his skillshots. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Veigar
Champion
EASY
- his early game is weak
- his range is low
- cant oneshot you unless you walk into him
His early game is really weak. You can outrange and abuse him easily at this point. Build your lead in early game.
After level 6 poking him gets easier and your abilities are stronger. All you have to do is be careful with his E spell. If you get caged be careful and try to dodge his spells. Really try to avoid his cage - if he catches you later on in the game you can easily die.
BUILD
You can go First Strike here. Items are standard.
Annie
Champion
EASY
- you are even early game
- you are way stronger late game
- if you have some MR she cant oneshot you
In early levels try to poke her whenever you can. She will most likely push the wave because she can just lasthit with her Q. Dont waste all your mana trying to push the wave back - you will be oom while she doesnt need to waste mana.
After level 6 you can continue poking her, after you build a large enough mana pool. Only thing you need to be careful of is her Flash engage into full combo. She can only do that once every 5 minutes tho.
BUILD
Against Annie you want to build Verdant Barrier early. This way she cant oneshot you as easily. Finish Banshee's Veil ASAP. Annie will always try to Flash combo you with her stun ready. If you have this item she wont be able to stun you - its super good against her. As rune go Arcane Comet.
Combos
Max Damage Combo
Caustic Spittle
->
Void Ooze
->
Living Artillery
->
Bio-Arcane Barrage
You want to open up with your Q to reduce the enemys resistances. This way your other spells will deal more damage. Follow up with your E to slow him - this way you can hit your R easier. Autoattack him with your W on in the meantime.
Normal Damage Combo
Void Ooze
->
Caustic Spittle
->
Living Artillery
->
Bio-Arcane Barrage
Sometimes you cant go for your max damage combo - since its not easy to hit your Q without a slow or stun from a far. Thats why you often need to go for this combo. Start by easily landing your E - now that he is slowed follow up with your other spells.
there really isnt any more combos you can do with AP
Kog'Maw
. Hes super simple, which makes him easy to learn.
Waveclear Combo (at level 6)
Void Ooze
->
Living Artillery
Starting level 6 you can easily clear waves with this combo. Start by using your E on the entiere wave. One hit of your R will finish off the caster minions afterwards. In the meantime your meelee minions will fight the enemys meelee minions. Get them equally low and follow up with one more R cast to kill them all.
Waveclear Combo (at 2-3 items)
After having some items your E will oneshot the caster minions. Normally you just ult the meelee minions afterwards once to kill them aswell. Somestimes the meelee minions start hitting eachother tho - this is when you want to hit them a bit, to make sure your E kills them (see video).
HOW DOES THE R MANA COST WORK?
one more thing to talk about is
Kog'Maw
s R ability
Living Artillery
. It has a special Mana interaction. Casting many shots after eachother makes it cost more Mana. The cost of each cast is shown in this image:
You can see which "cast" of the ult is active over the champ icon in the video down below.
It takes around 8 seconds for the current "cast" to reset. After that your R will only cost 40 mana again.
Sometimes its good to keep on shooting ults - for example when chasing down priority targets. Most often you shouldnt go over 5 casts tho, to save some mana.
Playstyle
Game Preparation
Before game starts, first thing that you should do is to identify threats. You should look at the enemy team composition and check out, who can be dangerous for you.
First look at the midlaner and his summoner spells. Always keep in mind whether he has
Teleport
, which might mean that you can trade with him. If he has
Ignite
you need to watch out.
After that look at enemy jungler and figure out, what kind of combined powers they have and how it influences your playstyle - for example
Zac
is pretty much constant threat for you, forcing you into defensive playstyle consisted of pure farming. Someone like
Shyvana
might allow you to play agressive early game.
At last, look at enemy support and toplaner and think, whether or not they might look for roams
Early Game
Depending on the threats you should decide wheter you should push or stay rather defensive in lane.
If you want to play def you shouldnt use
Void Ooze
to poke the enemy. By doing that you would also push the lane by hitting minions next to the enemy, which makes you vulnerable for ganks. But dont just let him push you to your turret - the ideal place is near your turret just outside of turret range.
If you want to play aggresive try to poke the enemy as often as you can. Still be careful of ganks when you push tho!
While having that in mind still try to farm as good as possible. Every CS counts since you want to reach mid/late game asap. At some point you might want to hardpush the wave and go back for an early
Tear of the Goddess
buy.
After level 6 you can poke / farm more easily. Just try to constantly poke the enemy. Your Mana Pool should be fine if you have
Tear of the Goddess
and
Lost Chapter
.
At this point you can push waves easily and can think about roaming. Be careful when deciding that tho! Best moments to roam is when your jungler wants to invade and needs help or if you setup a dive at another lane. Only roam when you think these plays work out tho - otherwise you might lose alot of minions and XP midlane, which are more valuable for you at this point in the game.
Mid Game
Your goal is to reach level 11 as fast as possible and farm as good as you can. Your ultimate goal is reaching level 16 - this is when you are the strongest. Because of this try to catch every wave you can. When your botlane goes midlane you can simply sidelane to get stronger. Be with your team when important objectives are up tho!
If your team is ahead you can simply siege towers. If you are behind you have to play defensively and waveclear. This should be pretty easy for you with your range.
In teamfights you can try to fight front to back. Due to your Q -
Caustic Spittle
and your W -
Bio-Arcane Barrage
you should be able to shred tanks easily. You can also just poke down their backline tho with your insane range. Always hold your spells if you have heavy CC on your team tho. Wait for it to land and follow up with easier skillshot hits.
Late Game
Late Game is when you shine the brightest. Your Rank 3
Living Artillery
range is disgusting. Try to poke them as much as you can from a far, but be careful of your mana! Also dont overextend, since you still have no form of escape or defense.
In general just stay super far away and be as annoying as you can with your R poke. Normally there should be nothing the enemys can do about it.
