Aurelion Sol has a few different rune pages he can go, and there are even more with the new Pre-Season 12 rune changes ( in particular)
Domination Tree (Main)
For starting out with
Aurelion Sol , is probably your most reliable main rune page. With
Astral Flight (W) you can proc very easily, adding to what is already extremely high DPS from such range level 1 and 2.

or , both mostly personal preference but do have their different strenghts.
is pretty reliable due to
Aurelion Sol 's high amounts of cc, being in the form of
Breath of Light (Q) and
Falling Star / The Skies Descend (R) with able to get proc'd level 1 or 2; Followed up with
Astral Flight you can proc and you easily keep your distance with
Astral Flight 's (W2) bonus move speed upon reactivation resulting in a good or even completely free trade.
Your next choice (9/10 times) will be
with the immense roaming potential
Aurelion Sol has with
Singularity (E), this is very quickly stacked. Free damage? Awesome!
While
Singularity has massive speed and range, it's got one of the highest cooldowns in the game as a basic ability (Starting at 80 seconds rank 1). helps compensate for the times you don't have
Singularity available (and just feels really good to have anyway)
Inspiration Tree (secondary)
Aurelion Sol is VERY mana hungry, especially in the early game when you don't have . With a base mana pool of only 350 and
Astral Flight 's cost being 70, it is really important to keep healthy in the early stages. Not only do you not want to be the immobile champion in the mid lane, but you also don't want to arrive on a roam with
Singularity only to find you have no mana anyway.

Summoner Spells (Loadout)
If you decide to run
, it's best to start with to take full advantage of it's effects. Builds
(Some functionality on this site is a little buggy at the moment, so I couldn't take advantage of the builds display, but I can make do!)

Aurelion Sol , it gives him the much needed mana sustain to stay in lane and/ or to roam in the early stages of the game.
Either
or (whichever you can afford to out right buy at the time) are the main items you want to be picking up on your first recalls (one of the two or both if possible).
gives all the stats you need to hold your own in the early game; granting Ability Power (40), Ability Haste (10), Bonus Mana (300) as well as refunding 20% MAXIMUM mana when leveling up.
gives good early game Magic Penetration and you can't go wrong with just having more movement speed.
