Intro

I am FoxyThe1st, a 1 trick Varus Mid, In season 12 I got started playing Varus as a GOLD PLAYER!, and got all the way to wapping Diamond 1!.

After thinking about Varus's kit I thought that he will pair really well with Lethal tempo, and after taking the rune I sort of fell in love with it.

Instead of bursting one target down and thats it, I can burst the entire enemy composition down! and carry fights on my own, Varus's W is what makes it work so well with Lethal tempo once you AA target 3 times you can use your Q to deal around 80% of the target health, which bassicly mean that you kill EVERYTHING after 3 AA and a Q.

-Champ Pros

• Insane damage output,
• Wonderfull burst damage,
• Really strong Early / Mid and Late,
• Can single handadly win teamfights.



-Champ Cons

• Immobile,
• Squishy,
• Requires a-lot of game knowledge to play,
• Susceptible to CC (If someone CC's you in your Q they cancel most of your kit),
• Bad wave clear.

Runes (Loadout)

If you want to play agressive around the earlier stages of the game going for HOB can be a great option. I usually take this page if im playing vs champions who want to roam a-lot and make sure they wont have a second to breathe, burst them down, and ensure we win the lane as fast as possible. Examples - Taliyah \ Talon \ TF \ Singed ETC ....

Since we're playing Varus as an AP champion maximizing our W first would deal the most dmg, feel free to check League of graphs as it is the highest w\r skill order for mid lane Varus.



Varus's Summoner Spells Explained

Take - Flash \ Ghost - Into mages

You can also run Ghost \ Cleanse into matchups that are extremely reliant on their CC such as Vegiar for example.

Take - Ghost \ Exhaust, or Flash \ Exhaust, into Assassins, Personally I love the ghost \ Exhaust option.



Varus's Rune page and gameplan around it

So with our Lethal tempo page we are not the strongest champion untill our 850 gold item spike, but with that said we still are strong and we can still get priority into ALL lanes in the first 2-3 lvls.

The way that I personaly play the lane is try to poke the opponent down, make sure that we have the health advantage, and ensure that we're farming perfectly!

One thing to bare in mind is that YOU WANT TO RECALL AROUND 850 gold to buy recurve bow so you need to prepare a slowpush in advance.

As soon as you get to lane after that buy you can bassicly one shot ANYTHING!, you see syndra?, flash R - AA > E > AA x2 > W+Q and just like that you got 300 gold in your pocket and this works into most matchups,

If you decide to play with HOB, it will be better to buy blasting wand at 850 gold,

and try to AA > E >AAx2 > R > W+Q = 300 gold again.
