Intro
Hello my name is Kjeldsmark and I'm a Qiyana main on the EUW server. I started playing the game in season 2 but didn't play ranked until season 6. I main midlane and I peaked Diamond 1 70 LP season 11 playing Qiyana, Katarina and Yasuo.
I only started playing Qiyana 2 seasons ago and was extremely captivated by her high damage and her strong kit.
Qiyana is extremely strong in 1v1 scenarios but that isn't her only strength because her ultimate ability has HUGE impact on the game even though you might be behind. Qiyana is pretty much a useless champion before level 3 like most assassins but after reaching level 3 you start to become strong and has extremely good gank setup for your jungler.

Runes
Runes on Qiyana is pretty standard everygame there is only a few variations that you might want to go depending on your playstyle.
The main rune path is a standard electrocute setup the only variation you might want to do is change Ravenous hunter to Relentless if you like roaming a lot and feels like you will have an easier time with more movement speed.

Summoner Spells
Summoner spells on Qiyana is the same every game. You want to go Flash followed up with ignite since that gives you the highest kill pressure which is extremely important on assassins. If you can't kill your target you are pretty much useless.

Skill pathing on Qiyana is a bit different depending on the game.
If you are against any mage or just a ranged kind of champion then you want to start Q since that will make you get CS from further distance
But if you are against a melee champion that doesn't have any kind of auto resets like Yasuo, Yone, Riven and so on. Then you want to start W (ice/brush) if they walk too far up then you just start auto attacking them and make sure to swap element after attacks to both follow and get more damage.

On Qiyana you will always start Long sword and a refillable there are some varations regarding potions. If you are facing a very strong poke champion like Syndra then you can get 3 health pots instead of refillable but I wouldn't recommend that in an Elo lower than Diamond since most Syndra players don't poke as much as they should

Gameplan
At level 1 you will only try to last hit without getting harassed by enemy poke. Try to let the wave get into you so that when the third wave comes it will barely hit your tower. This means that the tower will help you kill the creeps faster and you will end up with a faster level 3 then your opponent if you feel like you are stronger than your opponent then all in at that point.
Since Qiyana has been nerfed so many times in a row now it is rather hard to get clean 100-0 kills level 3 so if possible try and poke your enemy using Q(Ice/Brush) followed up by W(Wall terrain) into Q. This combo will help you lower your enemies HP and will make you have an easier time when you want to All in.
As Qiyana you can pretty much one shot anyone at 60% HP if done correctly
Your primary lane combo should be E+Q(Ice) AA+W+AA+Q this combo will kill almost anyone at 60% HP and if not then pop your ignite and watch the magic happen.
When you gain a lead on Qiyana she is almost impossible to shut down properly since her Damage is so high. At this point you will want to either kill your lane opponent over and over again but if you aren't able to kill then just roam to any sidelane and kill either Bot or Top since this will make your team super ahead and will lead you to win the game.
Try roaming on the side of the map where your own jungler is because if you fuck up or their jungler is there then your own jungler will have the chance to come and help.
In the late game you will mostly target the ADC or their Squishy Midlaner. If you are able to get a 3+ man ult then almost always take it since that will chunk their HP by around 800 at this point.
Baron and Drake fights are advantageous for Qiyana since there is so much terrain and her ultimate will end up being HUGE.

My favorite combo
E+Q(ice)+R+Prowler+W+AA+Q(Wall)+AA
This is my favorite combo works already when hitting prowlers claw which is around lvl 7/8 ish. This combo will kill every midlaner if you aren't behind so just use this combo under their turret when crashing a big wave then its GG
