WHO THE FUCK IS THIS GUY??
Hi! My name is Brian, and I am a
Draven /
Irelia two trick on the North American Server. I have around 2 million mastery points on Draven on all my accounts combined as well as around 1 million mastery points on Irelia. I peaked Diamond 2 on the ladder this Season and I am looking to hit masters by the end of the year! I also stream on twitch sometimes so you can catch me catching axes on twitch.tv/brianc1 😎
As a Draven one trick I will pick Draven into any situation even if the matchup is bad. This obviously isn't a smart thing to do but any good Draven player will be able to play against any team comp. I suggest picking Draven when the enemy team doesn't have a lot of cc and when the enemy ADC can be easily harassed by you.
Pros and Cons
Pros
-Has the best damage output level 1 and 2
-One of the best laners
-One of the best snowball champions in the game
-Can pull off 1v1s, 1v2s and 2v3s easily if played correctly
Cons
-Needs to be ahead to be useful
-Hard CC can easily get you killed
-Sucks on weak side
Runes
All Draven players have their own opinion on what is the best runes for Draven are but in all honesty it just depends on the vibe really. The two main pages that Draven players will take are
and . I personally think that Lethal tempo is the best rune on Draven. Once Lethal Tempo is stacked up the attack speed provided combined with the attack range allows for easy kills when chasing down enemies after a 2v2 fight in the bot lane.
Hail of Blades is good for short trades and lets you get your damage off very quickly.
Lethal Tempo in Action
Summoner Spells
I prefer to go exhaust since I think that it makes 1v1s a lot easier as well as chase down kills. The 30% ms reduction allows for kills to be secured because you can kite forward and get in front of them so they have no where to go. Exhaust also allows for a lot of survivability from mages and assassins.
You can go cleanse in situations where the enemy team has a lot of CC.(Remember cleanse doesn't remove knockups and supressions )
Heal is just your standard Summoner Spell for ADC.

Max Q first, W second, E third, and R whenever you can

Draven
Item Builds
There are 2 main Draven builds, one is Eclipse and the other is Shieldbow. Eclipse is a glass cannon build, since you don't have Shieldbows passive its important that you dont misposition because you are 100% dead if you do.
There are only 2 real boot options on Draven and that is
and . When I go Lethal Tempo I feel as if I have the option to go tabis since the attack speed from your rune will be enough in team fights while with hob it feels pretty bad to to try to get off your autos. If the enemy has like 4 ad champions most of the time I will just go tabis to have insurance that I dont blow up for no reason. Every other situation though I will go berserkers. Almost no reason to go
since you're dead anyways if you are cc'd
After your 3rd item on the Eclipse build you have 3 options on what you want to go.
If the enemy has assasins I like to go for
since it gives me armor and if they have any ap that can 1 shot me I build hex drinker (I don't build any further) and then go .
The third option I like to go is IE 4th and that is only if there is no real threat for me or if I just don't do enough damage.Matchups and Synergies
(All these matchups are evaluated on patch 12.5 and can change depending on the meta
- Hard
- Not as hard
- Even
- Pretty easy
- Free win
Hard(You get outscaled)
Lane is Draven favored early but when she gets on kill she snorts a line of shimmer and can 1v9 a fight.
Make sure that you put her behind in lane and try to keep her from doing much in team fights because she is often ignored when she is behind but can still do massive amounts of damage when left unattended.
When jinx presses her w (
Zap! ) she is locked in an animation and you are able to hit a free e on her and engage if the situation is in your favor.Avoid fighting level 1 because she can easily out range you with her rocket form and build up
as well as her passive stacks (
Switcheroo! ) making it almost impossible to win if the jinx spaces the fight correctly.Easy to fight in lane with exhaust sucks to play against late.
Early game you should try to fight her when she uses her e (
Spark Surge ) because it has a very long cool down and she has no escape from you once she uses it. Zeri is the Queen of kiting so make sure that you are careful of running at her because you can take a lot of unwanted damage. Zeri is countered by hard CC so it would be ideal to have a support that can stop her from moving around. In team fights just like Jinx if left unattended she can solo win a team fight if left unattended to.
Hard Ziggs is hard to engage on
You win early because Ziggs is so squishy but you will never be in your range to all in him unless he lets you. If you try to engage on Ziggs he will most
Hard when paired with Nami one of the hardest lanes in the game no matter what ADC you are playing.
Avoid fighting early and either wait for a jungle gank or stack up your passive and one shot the enemy bot lane at level 6.
Lucian paired with Nami is very hard because of Lucian's passive (
Lightslinger )
and Nami's E (
Tidecaller's Blessing ). Lucian can easily proc with his passive and Nami can easily proc by placing her E onto Lucian Making it almost a guaranteed kill if you over step. Remember that Nami E has a slow that make it easy for Lucian to chase you down. Nami will 99% of the time take as well so taking heal will not be very useful in this lane. When Lucian E's in to proc everything he has him before he gets anything off.
