Playstyle

Milio is a scaling enchanter who fills a niche between Lulu and Nami. Paired with a good adc can be one of the strongest lanes in the mid-late game and has amazing tools to survive the laning phase. Generally, you're very week in the early game (except Lucian lane) and have to play pretty safe. You have alot of good lanes thanks to your Q peeling off most engages. Try and stack your manaflow when you dont need to save Q for peel. Asuming you go even in lane your adc will be much stronger in teamfights thanks to all the healing/sheilding you provide plus extra range and a free QSS. Left unchecked, Milio lanes will almost always win you the game.



Playing the Lane

Milio typically has a weak early game though he has alot of tools to stack spellthiefs and peel engage. Your goal should be to level up spellthiefs as soon as possible but don't take bad trades in the process. If it's safe, walking up and self casting E will proc spelltheifs twice like Bard or Lulu on your auto attacks. Into a lane with engage you will want to save your Q to peel them away if possible, otherwise you can use it on the wave to try and get a bounce to stack your Manaflow band. Q shouldn't be thought of as damage spell but as a dissengage tool that can poke when its safe to use the CD.



Playing Team Fights

Out of laning phase you want to play similarly to how Lulu or other enchaters would play. Try and stay close to your AD to peel them but do not risk dying. Your value comes with staying alive to continuously spam your spells and apply your passive. Try your best to avoid hard CC because it prevents the use of R.

Runes

Aery is almost always the best choice as it can be applied from all your skills. Guardian is an alternative page if you're playing into a hard engage lane but isn't neccecary if you're comfortable with timeing his Q. Manaflow and Trancendece are crucial runes as you struggle with mana in the earlly game and CD is your most important stat. For secondaries you can go Inspiration or Resolve, Revitalize and Bone Plating are solid but Cosmic Insight and Biscuts work aswell if you want to play more agressive. For pents I go CD, Adaptive Force, and Armor or MR.

Items and Summoners

Our core Items will be

Ionian Boots of Lucidity
and
Shurelya's Battlesong
. On first back try to pick up
Boots
and a
Faerie Charm
to solve our mana problems and more mobility. Finishing boots first is more value than the components to Shurelya's so aim to do that first. Shurelya's always out performs moonstone as the movement speed is more valuable than extra sheilding/healing, additionally, Milio benifits more from the mythic passive and wants an absurb amount of CDR to spam his spells. Second item will either be
Redemption
or
Chemtech Putrifier
if they have alot of healing. Both items provide amazing stats but redemtion is the better option if you don't need heal cut due to it having more CD, heal/sheild power, and an amazing active. If the game goes long enough you can either pick up
Ardent Censer
or a
Vigilant Wardstone
. Only go ardent if your carry has bonkers attack speed like Kog or Jinx, Wardstone will give you 28 CD for only 1100 in addition to it's other stats and the ward passive. For Summoners always take
Flash
and typically
Exhaust
or
Heal
.
Ignite
does fine but you are usually playing to scale rather to win in lane. Running the heal lets your adc take exhaust or ghost.

Some games (games where my team is very behind), I play Radiant Virtue, so I can tank a little for my team but above all have a completely stupid heal when I use my ult. Which allows my team not to die even with lateness.
