Master Yi Season 12 Guide (updated)

Intro

Hello guys! My name is Martin but on the internet you can find me under my nickname "Mrskillmob".

"Let us begin."

I have over 600k mastery points on Yi and I've been playing him for over 3 seasons now. I I used to be an OTP but nowadays I play other champs too. (Viego,Diana,Hecarim,Nocturne,Morgana,Wukong,Poppy) <- 20games+ champs.



"I will show you the path." I have multiple accounts on both EUNE and EUW server. But you can find my main under "lilafrican69" I started playing league at season 7 and started playing soloq in season 8. My peak rank is plat 2 with roughly 400games and 57%wr.

Why Master Yi?

Pros:

- Easy to pick up.

- Hard to counter jungle due to fast clear and good dueling potential.

- Good at contesting objectives. Early solo drakes and herald. Solo baron potential later.

Cons:

- Worse at higher elos. People know how to counter and focus him. Vulnerable to CC comps.

- Low outplay potential.

- Tends to get outganked by other Junglers.

Runes

There are two main rune paths that you can take on Yi. Lethal Tempo and Hail of Blades.

In lethal tempo page you can take any Legend rune depending on enemy team. We will talk about build for each rune page further below.

Summoner Spells

Flash - Flash Smite is the most used SS combo on Yi. The ol' reliable. Recommend for like 90% of On-Hit games. (Lethal Tempo)

Ignite - Ignite is best for Duskblade crit build (Hail of Blades)

Cleanse - Experimental, only into high CC comps.
