Lillia Support! (13.3)
A multi-build low-elo player guide

With the potential to be a hyper-fast killdozer, Lillia's utility means she can be played a number of different ways with many different builds. Top and jungle are her most well known roles, with mid trailing a little behind them. So what about support? An infinite range poke ability that slows and can lead to complete immobilization? There's something going on here and I'm determined to find out what.
I will be going over several builds to fit different playstyles, from aggressive playing to passive defense to more utility. Lillia has major carry potential even from the support role, you are trying to snowball into a major threat that is too fast for even Warwicks to catch up to until you get to a point where you can sleep multiple enemies for you and your allies to take advatage of.

Starting with the AP heavy power rune pages, we are aiming to amplify Lillia's
Dream-Laden Bough , which works similarly to
Brand 's
Blaze but without the extra effects, only draining HP over time. You'll want to get good at hitting
Swirlseed since this is your main poke option and the steady drain will weaken opponents enough that you can eventually sleep and hopefully your ADC follows through.Option 1: Combat Hunter
+ This is what I mainly use myself. Why
? To get to objectives and push for map control. I make it a point to help the jungler with the dragons as much as I can, and every objective in the later game. Lillia has fast split pushing capablity later on too, so if you're losing you can quickly move between lanes and hold back the enemy minions. Your power will be needed should a fight break out so you need to be able to respond. Can be replaced with or should one prefer. With this page, you are looking to weave autos in with your abilites to get stacks of for more damage and eventual healing in combat. Full stacks heal Lillia for 8% instead of 5% thanks to her being a melee unit now. Option 2: Steady Build-Up
+ If you're good with
Swirlseed and just picking up Harvest stacks in general, this option will give you more build up power. scales infinitely so you can build up for the whole game. I would say is essential on Lillia for maximum W
Watch Out! Eep! potential, though I know work for this when paired with . Here you're a little more passive, maybe you know your opponents are the aggressive laner sorts and don't want to risk life and limb for stacks. Even if you're just more defensive in general, this is a solid AP buildup option for massive late-game potential. Again, can be swapped for anything of your choosing. Niche Option 3: Shocking Awakening
+ Why
of all things? It's extremely easy to proc. Lillia's passive
Dream-Laden Bough counts as the second hit needed to proc it. A single auto + Q
Blooming Blows combo will electrocute the enemy. I wouldn't say this is as useful as the others, but if you're really into burst damage, here it is. ITEMS FOR AP POWER BUILDS _____________________________________________
Up first is a general set if you're lost and don't know what to do.
is always a solid item for Lillia. vs is up to personal preference, though I prefer myself for the cooldowns. This is a nice anti-tank build as well._____________________________________________________________________________________________
This build is helpful if there's a few tanks or one individual is causing trouble, usually
Tryndamere or
Olaf . Your job is to distract them with your speed and work with your team to wear them down or just survive
Undying Rage . This also helps dispatch huge threats like a stacked
Veigar or fed
Miss Fortune . SKILL PATH (POWER BUILDS) _______________________________________

Lillia
Since Lillia has had her E cooldown shortened, I take E first. It is important to note that increasing it's level only increases it's damage, it does NOT slow for more or for longer. You'd be surprised how many times people tell me it does. Lillia probably had
which could have made them think that. Start maxxing Q as it is your main damage output in laning phase. After 6 you can start looking for sleep potential, E can hit both targets if positioned correctly. Idealy at about 1/3 to 1/2 enemy health is when you can start to look for R opportunities, maybe a little more if you know your ADC has high damage potential. You can W max if your opponents are playing poorly and won't or can't punish you for overextending. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
Onto the tank builds! These are increasingly popular on Lillia due to her speed combined with extra health and defenses make her near unkillable to enemies that can't keep up. Honestly, the same runes for power can be used for tankiness just with different items. However, if you want something more specific I've tried out a couple new ideas.
Option 4: Speeding Tank
+ Here you are getting in and getting out regardless of what your ADC thinks, for better or for worse. The move speed on
is increased substaintially for melee champions, which Lillia happens to be. and combined with the added speed is usually enough to get out of any scrap you wander into. This one is really fun for me and combined with the right items makes you so fast no one can catch you!Option 5: Permanent Sleepy Time!
+ This one works best with
and . The secondary path can be whatever you want it to be, I would take over if you're going for , though. Remember to use autos as much as possible. A possible niche rune is if you would prefer it. I imagine it would be better in teamfights after a multiple-champion sleep.ITEMS FOR TANKINESS BUILDS __________________________________________________
Here you aren't trying to destory tanks, you are the tank! An unsually fast one!
- Slight Offense Preference
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
- Slight Defensive Preference
You won't be dealing as much damage as you could but you'll sure be surviving! You are trying to stay in the fight as long as possible while staying alive. I've beaten down fed Mordekaisers with this, and that is no easy feat. You don't need to do all the damage, you are just need to be the distraction.
The build path is honestly is the same. Unless you personally want to do something else, Q
Blooming Blows is your best defense._____________________________________________________________________________________________
Utility Lillia is last up. If you're a stickler for what a support should be or if you just prefer not doing everything yourself, then these are for you.
Option 6: Sleepover Friends
+ This combines tankiness with the ability to directly help your allies in combat with a shield. A good item set ties all this together below. Your
Perfectly Timed Stopwatch
into is a good failsafe for a good time to collect yourself or for a time to survive until your sleep
Lilting Lullaby goes off. You are going to stay close to your allies and keep them alive at all costs, even to your own life if need be.Niche Option 7: Dreamy Companion
+ Lillia can only help an ally with Aery if she takes
, however what makes this interesting is the interaction with
Dream-Laden Bough . Due to its residual effects, Aery can be sent to a target multiple times. Usually only 2 if you hit
Blooming Blows and run. This could be useful when paired with and . Sleeping a target also sends Aery to them. Imagine, as soon as an enemy runs back under their tower thinking they're safe, Aery comes back for round 2.ITEMS FOR UTILITY BUILDS __________________________________________________
You are trying to protect your allies with your power:
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
Here you are trying to protect your allies with your health and defenses. Your main goal here is to survive and take hits for your allies, focusing on high threat level targets and being good with E
Swirlseed to proc . works here too.Build path for abilities is the same as always, you may want to put more effort into maxxing E
Swirlseed as you prefer to sit back a little. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
As for matchups, Lillia's speed makes her able to simply outrun
Lux 's
Light Binding and
Lucent Singularity and
Morgana 's
Dark Binding . Beware against
Pyke ,
Blitzcrank , and
Nautilus as they can pull you in and if you don't have the speed to get out, you're doomed. Avoid supports and ADCs that can stun you or slow you. Slowing isn't very effective against late game
Lillia but in the early game it can be devastating. I have noticed that
Soraka has trouble against
Lillia since you can outrun her
Equinox 's so you don't get rooted.
Lillia works best with ADCs such as
Ashe for her slows and
Jhin who can take advantage of slowed enemies with his
Deadly Flourish and
Curtain Call .
Ezreal as well as his dash can get him closer to your slept enemies. You can safely pick
Lillia support if your ADC is mobile or ranged, like
Kai'Sa and
Caitlyn .
Miss Fortune is probably your best synergy because her
Bullet Time does not wake up enemies from
Lilting Lullaby . Just remember to wait a little to attack if your MF ults your slept opponents to get the most damage potential from that ult. If you wake them up they can still flash out of it. _____________________________________________________________________________________________
GENERAL LILLIA TIPS AND TRICKS __________________________________
Q
Blooming Blows gives you stacking move speed the more you hit with abilities, up to 4 stacks. On all skins, Lillia will start glowing when this effect is active and has a different running animation. These stacks wear off one at a time when not in combat and she will sneeze the first stack off when it expires. This is usually audible but if she's spoken recently it won't be, so your best way to pay attention to this is recognize when she stops glowing and prancing. Don't play too aggressively in the early stages of the game as you are relatively fragile and will absolutely be punished for a W
Watch Out! Eep! taken too far in.Your W
Watch Out! Eep! can be used to get some distance from a chasing enemy.
Watch Out! Eep! counts as a dash and can be marked by
Vex 's
Doom 'n Gloom Be careful throwing
Swirlseed , if you hit an enemy walking to lane that is free damage for you but turrets will also begin targeting you. You should also wait until
Dream-Laden Bough wears off to move under turrets as it will draw their attention as well.
Swirlseed will break and do a bit of AOE upon hitting something. If someone is standing behind a minion it will still hit both the minion and the champion, meaning you can just bowl all laning phase with more success in hitting them.
Lilting Lullaby can be used to escape enemies if you're outnumbered. People rarely consider it to be worth a or , at least here in iron/bronze/silver elo and even gold sometimes so you likely won't see them unless there's a lot more CC on your team than you. can also remove sleep, but in low elo at least I never see any support build it.
Dr. Mundo 's
Goes Where He Pleases and
Olaf 's
Ragnarok also make them immune to
Lilting Lullaby .
Overall,
is best for damage right now. Combined with or , you're pretty much set for the whole game. I unironically get more team toxicity playing
Fiddlesticks support, people rarely have a poblem with
Lillia .
