Hello Summoners, Looks like you picked the gem master this game. No one seems to understand how to lane with a Taric so this mini guide can be read during champ select/loading. It will help you understand the basics of this champ, leading you to victory!
My name is yacinekatago, I've been playing League since Season 9 on the EUW Server. I started picking up Taric s10 and to learn it I have been coached ( by -📢 enverOwnz21 / Cabbage#2121 ) and taken advise from the best taric players ( #1 Taric EUW and another one #1 on NA) and some exotic players of Taric jng or Top but so far I prefer support Taric, and here i will give you all information I have got from everyone of them.
Taric Abilities :
- Taric Q spell Starlight's Touch :
Q is a heal, normally it has a 14 second cool down however if you have passive active (used an ability within last 5 seconds) your auto attacks Instantly reset the Q!
IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT YOU HIT, MINIONS, WARDS CHAMPIONS, TOWERS I STILL GET YOUR RESETS.
At level 4 (level 2 on q) your healing is DOUBLE that of level 3 (~90healing) AND it costs the EXACT SAME amount of mana regardless of how many stacks which is why I prefer level 4 fights.
- Taric W ^ Bastion :
Basically you link it to a adc or someone you get both armor and a shield and they get to use ALL of your abilities.
- Taric E Dazzle :
IT’S A STUN - 1 Second delay
Everytime you use passive shit the cooldown gets decreased so if given the opportunity your stun can be on a 3-4 second cooldown in lane.
if you have a irelia or yasuo or some samira / kaisa for adc's if they dash in use your E to stun from far and get to the mele range to start spaming .
- Taric R Cosmic Radiance :
Self explanatory, kayle R but takes 2.5 seconds to windup.
- Taric Passive :
INNATE: After casting an ability, Taric's next two basic attacks within 5 seconds gain 100% total attack speed, each dealing 25 − 93 (based on level) (+ 15% bonus armor) bonus magic damage and reducing the cooldowns of his basic abilities by 1 second, as well as refreshing Bravado's duration on the first attack.
and with that you can 1v1 a renekton 4/1 while being 0/3/5 :p no joke

Matchups and Synergies
- GGWP Mathchups : tanks that love to go in will not have fun vs taric bacause if they hook the adc well ... you E and they get stuned and your adc have time to back and you turn on them and you are a monster of healing and damage at melee range so gg free kills ( after lvl 4 ofc before that just E and back off stay safe save your health and mana for the lvl 4 so you can even 2v3 then )

Warning ! :
I dont recommend you to to blind pick Taric as a supp if you get this matchups the game will be horrible to play, champions like ashe that can slow or stun you is a totale counter you can do nothing but wait for the jng or give up lane and just help jng impact the game somewhere else ( if you have a way to play agains this matchups pls let me know xD )
