What is this about?

Hi, my name is Alex, "Mr Manners" in-game, and I LOVE Fiddlesticks. But recently I had a thought, what if I take his

Bountiful Harvest
, arguably his most fun ability, and make it even funnier?

So that's what this is! I played a lot of games, trying out the best runes, items, roles etc and I think I now know enough to help others have as much fun as I do with this build. But first, some starting questions.

Why should I read this guide?

This strategy is quite volatile in my experience, but when the stars allign I can promise you it is one of the most hilariously stupid things you can play. So unless you don't want to become an unkillable demon, terrorising your enemies with your constant fears and silences, then I'd recommend you keep reading.

Why Toplane and not Jungle?

While this strategy can absolutely work inside of the jungle, there are two main reasons why we take the scarecrow into the toplane instead.

1. It's funny.

2. With the specific item path I will be showing in this guide, your jungle clear comes to a snails pace as your damage just isn't enough to keep up at later stages. Your ganks also leave more to be desired, as you have little-no offensive pressure early game. And getting invaded is a devastating blow, as you can't really retaliate.

TL;DR, clear isn't great, ganks aren't great, and getting invaded is really not great.

Why not play another tank, like Ornn or Cho'Gath?

Unlike most tanks, Fiddlesticks' laning is incredibly oppressive, and farming could not be easier and safer. Simply walk up to the wave, use your

Bountiful Harvest
once or twice, and you're done! This allows you to play very agressively elsewhere, such as securing rift herald for some early plates or ganking midlane for an easy kill.

Getting out of ganks has also never been easier. Because of your

Scarecrow Effigy
you should have essentially constant vision of the nearby bushes, but even if somehow the enemy jungler manages to sneak up on you, you can very simply
Terrify
them and walk away!

And lastly, when used right

Crowstorm
can be the single most effective engage ability in the entire game, leading to game-winning teamfights and endless praise from your teammates. What more can you ask for?

So, now that that's over, let's get into the details!

Build path

Frozen Heart
/
Spirit Visage
: These two items are both damn near essential, Frozen for it's large mana reserves and the ability to cripple physical attackers, Spirit for the increased healing (need I say more?) and MR.

I highly recommend you build these items first,

Frozen Heart
for AD heavy teams/matchups and
Spirit Visage
for those pesky spellcasting teams and/or AP matchups. But you're going to be building both eventually, so choose what seems right for the situation.

When it comes to boots,

Plated Steelcaps
and
Mercury's Treads
are going to be your options. You could go crazy with the roaming and decide on
Mobility Boots
, but usually I would not recommend it.
Ionian Boots of Lucidity
are technically an option, but I think you'd get more use out of any of the options mentioned above.

Situational items :

Zhonya's Hourglass
is always a great option for
Fiddlesticks
, no matter the build. I don't think going Zhonya's is ever a bad idea, but is especially useful for AD/burst heavy teams.

Abyssal Mask
can range from absolutely essential to pretty much useless entirely dependant on your team. You are never going to be the main damage dealer in your team (hopefully), so if you find yourself in a completely AD based team then I wouldn't recommend going for abyssal.

Demonic Embrace
works well against very tanky enemy teams, but outside of that I'd say you should lean more into tank items. (Demonic is a lot of fun though, so if you value that highly then go ahead)

Thornmail
if you need some sort of anti-heal. I don't recommend
Morellonomicon
as highly, since Fiddle really needs tanky stats to thrive with this build.

Force of Nature
absolutely bodies AP heavy teams, and combined with
Spirit Visage
can let you survive for an absurd amount of time in teamfights.

Essentially every tank item can work in the right situation, but the ones above are those that I believe work exceptionally well. Now onto mythics...

The Mythical Item Situation

This is were I would quite like to get suggestions and feedback. There are a TON of mythics that I feel can work very well for this build, including

Turbo Chemtank
,
Everfrost
,
Evenshroud
,
Moonstone Renewer
- the list goes on. I really encourage you to go out and test a few, see which one feels best to you. At the moment I think
Turbo Chemtank
takes the top spot of being consistently great, but I believe a serious case can be made for several of the other Mythics. I'd love to hear what you all think :D

Game plan

Your general game plan is to aid your team the best you can by roaming and helping with objectives. Use your teleport selflessly, don't be afraid to miss a wave or two, in short just put your team above yourself. As mentioned above, you can clear waves incredibly efficiently, so don't waste that extra time just standing around. Your

Scarecrow Effigy
allows you to get a large (frankly absurd) amount of vision near and in the jungle, and
Crowstorm
can easily give your team a kill or two as soon as its available.

Ending notes!

Thank you for reading through my guide! I hope I've convinced you to try it out for yourself, I genuinely believe it's one of the most fun builds in the game. Feel free to leave a comment if you have any questions or feedback, I wrote this at 1am so there's bound to be some mistakes and/or missing details.

Happy Harvesting!
