Heimer has many options when it comes to what runes he takes. Generally, it's going to come down to how much range does the enemy comp have and how squishy they are. In most games, you'll be taking

Essentially, max w into ranged matchups and max q into melee matchups. Max e second if you think people won't be diving under your turrets or you want better poke. Otherwise always max q second.

H-28 G Evolution TurretUsing heimerdinger's turrets correctly is what separates a good heimer from a bad heimer. Be thoughtful with your q charges, a heimer with no turrets is essentially half a champion. Try to avoid placing turrets where they will immediately be destroyed by minions or the enemy laner. Also avoid grouping your turrets up if the enemy champion has an aoe spell.

Hextech Micro-RocketsHeimerdinger's skill expression with his rockets boils down to how much you want to spread your rockets to either maximize damage or guarantee a hit. Hitting one rocket does a majority of the abilities damage so usually spreading the rockets just enough that the enemy can't sidestep it is recommended.

CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade
CH-2 Electron Storm GrenadeAnother of heimer's skill expressions is landing his e-stun. It's a deceptively small hit box but an absolutely crucial ability to hit to have any success on heimerdinger. Try throwing the skill behind the enemy so they juke into it.

There is so much to like about heimerdinger, whether it's the plethora of choices when it comes to runes and item builds or the fun of playing a champ that can consistently 1v2 the enemy team. I learned most of what I know about heimerdinger from Heisendong I don't watch him much anymore but if you're looking to improve at heimerdinger his channel is a great resource.

I am SUCH a big fan of heimerdinger. He is my FAVORITE yordle. Look at him, he's giving RILF energy (Researcher i'd like to... yknow!) I imagine him using a machine of his that he crafted in the lovely yordle brain of his EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. I won't get too graphic, but let me just that that 0.6 mm of snow is just the right amount to make me happy. ;)
I'm dating this real life heimerdinger right now, he's dreamy and a researcher, but the only issues are his voice and his.... down there. He sounds too much like ryan gosling, and not enough like the furry professor who has captured my heart. Secondly, he is way too big for my petite yordle body, which I got as a result from my yordle-fication surgery i got in 阳朔县. 1 inch is already too much, but 2 WHOLE INCHES. that is WAY. TOO. MUCH. he is getting a reduction surgery and I will be much happier in 36 days, 20 hours, 3 minutes, and 2 seconds. Thank you for giving me, "material", for tonight, thanks again,

Hey man! Just a little tid bit about me, is that I'm also half horse! Well, many like, a 20th horse. Cuz... you know... some girls like to say i have the weiner-- i mean member of a stallion. How cool right? Anyway, I love heimerdinger, i feel like I can see myself in him sometimes. Like how one time at school I went up this girl and while staring and pointing at her boobs, I said "Hmm, It's smaller than the diagrams!" Just like the Dinger himself! I intend to carry om his legacy for as long as I live. I have a list of baby names in my notes, and Heimer is actually my #1 pick for boy names! I just hope my future wife would allow it. I can just see myself now the "cool" grandpa, telling my grandchildren stories of my youth, like when i set up my own handmade cardboard heimerdinger turrets out on the school field and ran around with a wrench (also made of cardbpard) in front of all these other kids! I really showed them! Ever since then, I have become such a ladies man, I have lux mains kissing my boots whenever I step foot on summoners rift. Also in the show Arcane, I'm not sure if you've seen it, but theres a pretty important character in it and guess what! It's heimer dinger! I couldn't have been any happier when I saw that he was in the show! I had to change my adult diaper twice just off pure excitement (and lemme tell you those babies can hold a TON) Well, I guess that's enough about me.. haha.... well anyway! Thanks for writing this guide, I really appreciate all of the work you've put into this guide of yours, I think if i pring it out look really nice next to this heimerdinger fanfic that i saw online one time. So thanks for writing such a beautiful piece of literature, that I will treasure forever.
DING... DONG... DING... DONG. LOOK OUT EVERYONE HER COMES THE DINGER. Ahh, Heimerdinger, my all time favorite yordle. I must say I took a liking to him when I first began my league of legends journey. But I became obsessed. I conviced my parents to help me in making heimerdinger wallpaper for my room, and my mother, who was awfully good at sewing made me a grand total of 23 heimer plushies. My favorite food, mac n cheese, also got a taste of the action. My father worked at our towns pasta factory, and he would also bring me home a box of custom made heimerdinger noodles. I would cook them up every night for dinner, in fact... i dont remember the last time I hadnt eaten a delicious bowl of heimer n cheese. My dog Heimer, and my cat Dinger, were also byproducts of my heimerdinger craze. Some day I would even trap my cat and dog in my closet, hoping they would transform into my yordle pal, which never worked and usually racked up a costly vet bill. I must say your guide is nothing short of brilliant. The keystone arcane comet really pairs well with the poke from his rockets and turrets. I love hitting them with my CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade, while also yelling my catchphrase, AYY CARAMBA. Thanks for this rootin tootin guide HalfHorse
