Intro
Hello fellow Yasuo learners. I've been playing Yasuo since season 5 and i'm here to share my experience with you. I would recommand this champion for players who loves to play mechanical champions. I have 2m+ points on Yasuo and i'm maintaining a 60%+ wr on him ever since.
Runes (Loadout)
Summoner Spells (Loadout)
This depends mostly on the matchup, but usually this is the best one against mages.
Going Conqueror is good pick since you don't need the exta attack speed from Lethal Tempo since Alacrity and your items like Mortal Reminder, Wits End will make it just fine and you can enjoy the extra dmg which and lifesteal. Second Wind is a great choice against most mages. Bone Plating is also a good pick but it's not working well with Yasuo's shield passive. Revitalize/Unflinching, both are good, it really depends on the enemy team. If they don't have hard cc, you can always go Revitalize
Skill Path
Usually you max Q>E>W. In matchups where you don't need Windwall you can decide to skip lvl 3 W point and get an extra on Q. You can use it for early engages with the extra damage.

Yasuo
Item Builds
Now this is where it gets interesting and casual Yasuo players fail. Core items are always Berserkers into (zeal if you prefer and feel confident in engages) Shieldbow and Infinity Edge.
The item gives you increased healing and shielding by 25%. It can be your passive shield, shieldbow's lifesteal and shield, works well with runes: Conq, Second wind, Revitalize.
With the new Death's Dance changes Yasuo got a huge surviving power against AP champions too. 30% of dmg taken is dealt to you over 3 seconds.
BUT! champion takedowns cleanse the dmg you would took in the 3 secons and will restore 175% bunos AD health in 2 secons, which is huge on Yasuo. You can hard engage in teamfights if you see that you can get a reset. In late game with core build the heal is around 600/kill. Usually this item heals from 2.5k to 5.5k per game, which is more than the Mythic item shield would provide.
Now this is a personal choice of mine. If you are playing a matchup with heavy cc in enemy and hard matchups like Annie, Cassio. Taking dmg from enemy champion grants you a stack on the item(max 6) if the spell is cc then 2 stack at once. At 6 stack you take 25% reduced magic damage and gain 10% movement speed. This item is a hidden op in these situations. At the end of a game it can block around 2k damage.
This item is always good but now it's even better. With the Death's Dance changes even if you die normally you would revive with 50% Health, BUT! you can restore health from Death's Dance while you are about to revive and this can go up to 100% depends if your team could kill someone after you engaged and died.
Matchups and Synergies
Yasuo is not a solo carry champion like he used to be from the seasons before. Ofc you can always solo carry in lower elo if you can break the mind barrier that is holding you back. Don't concentrate to win lane, you don't have to win the 1v1, 2v1 situations. Play around your jungler, it is always the win condition. If you can get a prio on mid lane, look around, make the calls. Yasuo is in a really good position right now. Diana, Nunu, Hecarim, Kayn, Rek'Sai, Jarvan, Lee, Xin Zhao are the best to play with Yasuo, and with the current meta they are mostly in your game. The best mid/jungle combo is Yasuo-Diana right now. Diana with a Zhonyas is unstoppable if she plays around Yasuo, the rest of the team just has to follow up, end the kills.

Hard matchup if you don't get the early prio and kills.
You can counter her with going Force of nature and QSS.
The 25% reduced dmg if fully stacked can save you a lot of headache.
If you can survive her burst then the qss will give you the possibilty to counter attack, she will have everyting on cooldown and the only thing she can do is trying to escape.
She can destroy you at every point even if you are the same lvl/items.
Rushing Death's Dance after Shieldbow will help you win the game. If she can't oneshot you, you'll be fine.
Hard matchup. He can freeze with his sustain on lane and just dominate you with the help of his jungler. After lvl 6 he can all in solo kill you. Try to have an early kill on him.
If it's possible ban Vex. Even if you win the laning phase against him, which is very hard to do, he will be stronger in mid and lategame.
Easy to play against her. She is very weak in early, you can just zone or solo kill her every time she oversteps. Look where her daggers fall, use your W to block them from falling if you can, after lvl 6 you can just block her ult and win 1v1 situations
It can block all her burst.
His W can make you suffer a bit, but if you have ignite up or already got an early executioner you can win 1v1. Try to dodge or block his E if can't knock you up he can't use your ult against you.
It's a good item against him, even if you buy it before Mythic.
Depends on the player. Corki's early game is weak. He can stay under turret and afk farm. Mostly you will win trades against him with blocking his Q. He will roam a lot with Packages but got a nerf on it's cooldown. Try to inform your bot, about his rotations.
Veigar can lock you in, lock you out, use Everfrost against you. It's a frustrating matchup. Try to punish him early, set up ganks, zone him. After 2 items he can carry his team if not. Your Windwall is good against him but if he gets a stun on you then you won't be able to use it in time. If he locks you in and you can or have a stacked Q then look for a way out. Try to ult anyone just to get ouf of the cage before it's late.
Not really a skill matchup between these two. He is very strong in early trades with his W and Bone Plating. If he engages with ulti it's easy to dodge, however if he can land his E Q(stacked) combo on you after lvl 6 you are in trouble. Because of the chain cc you can't escape his ultimate. The duel is over if he hits the combo.
In other hands he is also weak against a dominant Yasuo. With rushing Berserkers and Zeal it's hard for him to stack his Q's before you, dodging his Q is easy with your E and you can also block his stacked Q with Windwall if you don't stand close to him(if he doesn't pass your windwall with his body)
Her movement speed is insane so you have to be careful. But you are faster with your dashes. Keep in mind that she can't use her R if she is in cc. Punishing him in early game is easy to do with Berserkers + Zeal. Bone plating and armor in runes is also recommanded.
Even with your abilities to dodge her spells is hard to kill her. With the new reworks she got it's easier to her to stay on lane.(she heals if she killed 7 minion) She gets a reset(one extra dash) on her ultimate if she kills you or someone else which is also heals her, so it's easy for her to dive you at 6.
One of the hardest matchups for Yasuo. People think that it's easy because of windwall but it is not and you will realise at soon. You have to play around your jungler all game to be usefull against her. In early levels you can get 1-2 kills on her, but after she finished everfrost her surviving chances are highly increased. You can't escape from her if she trapped you in her R, she will just knock you back with her Wall. If you are looking for an engage on him keep in mind to leave minions to dash out, not just in.
Most of the time is an easy matchups, depends on the enemy jungler if he decides to make it harder for you. Look for bombs on the ground, don't dash through it and you are good to go. He can't do enough damage to stop you from killing him.
Tricky matchup. Easy in lower elo, but nightmare in highelo. Look for her E, you can always windwall that. If she rushes Plated steelcaps with Vampiric Scepter then she is "full build" against you. She can just facetank your damage. Bone blating is recommended against her, also you can try going exhaust and buying early healing reduc.
Not the usual mid pick, but sometimes happens. If you windwall his E then he lost the whole trade. Keep in mind that if you are standing right behind him his ultimate still damages you.
She can be very aggressive early but he has also very few armor. Look for a trade if you can get lvl 2 before her or just wait for lvl3. When you go in the only thing you have to windall is her E, she can't shield herself and the ball will stay at the same position. Phase rush makes it hard to cath her so you might need some help with finishing the kills on her.
Second wind is a must, she can poke you in early game and you can't do much about it. Keep in mind that he can just send the clone and not dash. To be sure you can use your E on her early and then you will always see which is the real one.
Mostly casual players counter picking you. If not high elo you just have to be patient and you will outscale him. Bone plating is a must, his burst will disappear. Try to go Overgrowth(because it's a good scaling matchup) runes or Unflinching.
She is very strong after 6 if she hits her E. In early game you can bait out her Q's with walking up to last hit a minion but leaving it there and going back. You will lose some gold but if you can go in for a trade after. Doing this 1-2 times can get you a lead on lane since her Q cost a lot of energy and has a high cd. If you engage without her using Q then do it with E+Q+W combo on her, mostly they use a panic Q on you.
Is a good option for 3rd item against her.
It's not a guide of how to do an airblade, keyblade etc, you can learn them, they are not hard. The hardest part is understanding the matchups and how to play around your team, and the enemy team. I hope this guide was informative for you.
Good luck in the Summoners Rift!
