Hey It's Ivy here
I'm a season 7 Challenger Jungle main that quit soon afterward, I was also a number 1 Elise world back in season 7, Currently, I'm back in the top 100, going for that rank 1 yet again.
I've been playing on my friend's account this season since I came back under the nickname of Symmetry in all.
Currently, I'm on a road from Bronze IV to Challenger (Diamond IV so far)
You can find me on Twitch here.
So... Why Elise?
Ever since the first time I played Elise, she became my favorite Jungle Champion, her kit is a mix of Mobile Utility-Assassin that can control multiple targets while being the Priority target for the enemy.
Elise has the ability to maintain her strength from early to late game, her kit has everything a Jungler could ask for.
She has 6 primary skills which all can play a huge role in their respective situations.
Conqueror is so underrated on Elise, you can pretty much get 12 stacks in 1 full combo, this means that you get a bonus 28 Ability Power, that's Amplifying Tome(435g) + 8 AP in just one combo. It also gives you a very good amount of healing from all the sources, stacks well with the Spiderling healing + E(Rapell) bonus healing
I go for Triumph for more sustain in long fight durations
This rune is mandatory on this build, it helps you clear the jungle much faster,
it helps you duel enemies way better, both from a range/melee perspective, and it
goes really well with Nashor's tooth.
Probably the rune I take most of the time, though all three runes on this tree are just as good, depending on the situation
Coup de Grace helps you fight squishy targets much easier, such as mages and ad carries, or squishy fighter/assassins
I take Magical Footwear as the first secondary rune on the Rune tree, it gives you boots at 12 min for free, and every Kill/Assist lowers the 12 min timeframe by 45 seconds, a worthy investment I'd say, especially on a jungler like Elise, who is able to score kills early in the game.
Additionally, you also get +10 bonus movement speed as passive on any boots.
Honestly, a criminally underrated rune, "Approach Velocity" gives you 7.5% movement speed bonus towards any impaired target, and it increases to bonus 15% movement speed if you impair them, this bonus also applies to red buff, which is insane.
meaning you can get from Human Form 330 to 408 movement speed in Spider Form without any items if you were to impair with Everfrost/Cocoon/Red Buff
Items on Elise can vary from game to game, depending on the enemy team, you could go Riftmaker or Liandry's against tanks, going Demonic Embrace as the second item, or just go Nigh Harvester and Lich Bane with Electrocute in runes, but I feel like those items don't fully flesh out her full potential, and honestly, Everfrost brings so much more to Elise in terms of a playstyle. It just works and is a lot of fun at the same time.
Cocoon, but better.
Everfrost gives you the ability to chain it with your E(Cocoon), which gives you much better options at approaching the target, it can be used to zone enemies or keep them in one place, really underrated item on any AP Jungler.
Nashor's Tooth lets you deal much more damage in short term with your basic attacks, stacks well with Spider form W(Skittering Frenzy).
Good for Survivalibility, It also helps you deal damage when you're pinned down,
your Spiderlings still apply damage when you're in Zhonya's, in late-game you could easily bring someone from 100 to 0 while being in Zhonya's.
Go for Void Staff if the enemy has too much magic resist,
Good against squishy Low Magic Resist targets
Good Against heavy AP team comp.
Spell shield is just way too good to initiate the team fight.
Goes well with Zhonya's and Everfrost, because it gives you both mix of Armor and Magic Resist + Additional HP.
The ruler of all, Rabadon's Deathcap gives Elise the biggest power spike, you can one-shot anybody who has not gone overkill with magic resist, Spiderlings turn into extra Champions for the team.
Elise pretty much synergizes with all the Champs who have some sort of Crowd control, but from my experience, those champions come to my mind.
Thanks for reading.
I will be updating this guide from time to time.
