Quick Rumble AP Top Build
Intro
Hello! My name is Andrew, and to put it simply, I am a stubborn rumble top enjoyer, rumble is one of my two favorite champions in the game right now. I started playing it in season 11 and have played it a lot through season 12 as well. I started playing LoL last summer and am currently coming out of low elo so take this guide with a grain of salt if you must haha. But I really think I know enough to help someone who wants to start playing rumble (not mastering it) and trying to run the game from your lane with a decent amount of skill.
I will leave some tips on common matchups on top or champions that are picked quite a lot in general, maybe I'm not a rumble genius or the best, but I really love this champion, and I hope it can help you (and you) to play it better and better!
Runes (Loadout)
Rumble can use almost all the main runes and many secondary ones are very good for him, depending on the situation or what one wants to build will be the type of rune that he should choose.
- for a normal/good matchup where we can abuse the sorcery and domination runes are what it needs, with damage and the little healing it offers.
- For bad bruiser/tank matchups, one of the best options is bone plating with overgrowth / unflinching to be able to take the enemy's first attacks with boneplating and return the damage.
- Conqueror is a page that I personally like, not so much because of the healing but because by applying it completely we can gain much more ap than we have, in addition to being more tanky due to the type of secondary runes offered by the precision branch.
- electrocute is VERY GOOD against soft characters and that we can explode half or more of their life bar, together with the resolve branch we can withstand the enemy's counterattack while we do damage to our overheating.
- First strike is very good against champions who don't have an easy or effective way to be in their attack range (nasus, garen, etc) although personally I prefer it in the jungle because we can throw the ultimate from a longer distance and get more gold with the rune, although if you want to use it, it's up to you.
- basic
- Bad matchup/Vs Bruiser
- Conqueror runes
- vs squishie / midlane
- First Strike
Summoner Spells (Loadout)
Generally, ignite is your best ally, I know tp is much better in MANY circumstances, but ignite helps you win lanes that you absolutely wouldn't, plus it gives you easy kill security with just your lvl 3 and passive loaded , you can still use tp if you wish.
Skill Path
The best start in general is with E, to farm from afar while we wait for our other levels and for safer poking.

Rumble
Item Builds
Here the items, in general and after the changes to the store and that liandrys now has mana, your best options are rocketbell or night harvester, although really, we don't have a mythical that fits like a glove, the best we have are the legendary burning items.
Matchups and Synergies
Here are some matchups that I've played quite a bit and some tips on them.
Rare matchup if you're on low elo and VERY tricky if Darius knows what he's doing, if he catches you with his E and you don't have flash considered dead, get to get the timer and zhonyas earlier and try to make plays with your jungler to kill him, but Other than that, it's a headache.
My first advice is: DON'T UNDERESTIMATE HIS EARLY DAMAGE, his Q can hurt a lot, if he starts on you with his E
you will lose almost half of your life bar, be careful with his level 3, as he can make you all in quite easily, in general, it is a complicated matchup but not impossible, don't forget to remind your team when shen goes up to lvl 6 for his R, his W can bother you if he knows how your passive works, try to make plays with his jungler, shen can be very good but his wave clear is mediocre (until he gets the first part of the titanic hydra) you can use that in your favor and when he rolls R (if he doesn't have tp, which is pretty normal already) push like crazy and try to get plates while shen is offline by spending his R, in general, while shen ults and is out, he gets as much as you can and try to get an advantage in your side lane.
Teemo is a bad joke for you, you just destroy him completely, if you have ignite you will gut him, and even if you do you will do it the same, just get D shield and second wind and his pocking will not be a big problem, you block the damage of his Q with your W, Play with the bushes, I know this sounds weird since we are going against the king of the bushes but your Q rebels the invisible teemo, try to chesee him at lvl 2-3 with E (and W if you have lvl 3) - Q - E - ignite - passive and he will die or be forced to use flash, having no jumps or dashes and only a mediocre W, if you manage to give him the R and apply the entire combo he will be dead, yes, in late , his side lane will be very annoying due to his infinite pushing and wave stacking and his tf is horrible, try to finish the game fast to avoid this.
I highly recommend buying mejais
As you are an early champion, you know very well that if you do not do your job, you will suffer the consequences later, although it is quite easy to abuse him, he has a greater probability of escaping through his disgusting W and if he has ghostly even worse, even so you can get a lot out of his bad laning phase, keep an eye on his stacks and be careful with his first back and get the sheen, because with about 60-70 stacks and sheen, you are in a lot of danger, in late his side lane is very difficult to kill and generally 2 or 3 of your team will go to kill him, be careful with that and look to finish the game fast with low level chesses with ignite and objectives to finish as soon as possible.
He does many things better than you in many aspects removing teamfights, try QSS and don't try to fight him in very long trades, avoid his Q to a single target and look for chesee at lvl 3 without ignite, since generally after this will use his W and go to heal with it, he will have 65-70% health after this, then do it again and so on to get him out of lane or kill him (although the latter is more complicated) if morde knows what It makes you ultear making you unable to help your team with your R while in his death realm, watch out for that.
Dodge his E and then follow the trade, don't underestimate him in the first levels (much less if he has ignite) the moment you get close enough he will launch his E to stun you and give you a basic or a W if he is already lvl 2 or 3, if he manages to hit you you will get a trade that you will not be able to respond to if he dodges your E, but if he does not manage to hit you with his E most of the jaxs will get nervous and start to walk in zig zag to dodge your E, if you manage to hit him and you see that he has less than 75% of his life, try to give him E - Q since he has just spent his E and has no way out other than ward + Q, if in a trade he dodges your E be very careful because he can destroy you very ugly, his lvl 6 is not so complicated for you since you have MR shread and he doesn't gain as many resistances against you due to his AP, yes, he scales very hard, be careful with that.
Be careful with his level 1 to 3, at those levels his passive of the basics can hurt a lot and you don't have much way to respond to that, try to pock without being in the range of his E because if he catches you he will score basic + basic + Q fast + W and you will lose half your life, I recommend using the S key (or whatever you have to make your character stand still in one place) to better measure this, remember, the E of sett has more range slightly from the corners but your Q also has slightly more range than that, play with the ranges and you'll be fine, watch out for his Q ms, you can dodge him with your W ms, the moment he spends W you can go for E + Q + E + W and back or forward if it has 70% life and you have ignite, you will make it afraid and some will even spend flash, most will get BOTRK, so be careful, because that object is hateful, it makes the 0/3 and 1/4 of nowhere federate, anyway, their team fight is also good and their side lane is still better (even more so if he has a hullbreaker) so try to give the R to the back lane to make them go back and take them out of the fight and make sett stay in a 1 vs 5 and die (if he is not fed and your team is ready, he practically gave it away) if you want something safer in the laning phase, you can go rush zhonyas.
Dr. Mundo is a boring matchup, there is nothing more to say, some things to clarify is that you cannot remove the anti cc passive, so if your jg comes to gank and only has one cc (volibear as an example) or none (k6 as an example) is quite complicated before level 6, after level 6 it will simply cost a lot to kill him due to the ms, healing, life and other things that the champion gains, something curious and that also depends on what runes you will carry, Dr, Mundo does more ap damage at the start of the game (Q and W are his main lane damage sources), but as the game progresses he will do MUCH more ad damage, as well as ap (ap for mythic tanks) (ad if he builds titanic hydra / scaling his E) so it's always better to take MR in this matchup, it's advisable to look for plays with your jg in other lanes / prioritize targets, because you won't be able to do much lane, plus after he gets layer of fire will be stupidly tanky and do aberrant damage, so I Unless he's already gotten 1 or 2 kills, has the option to rotate, scales strong, even more so if you don't have a tank melter on your team, and something I forgot to mention above, DODGE HIS Q FOR GOD'S SAKE, you gain short trades , he wins long trades (lvl4 and up)
still if you can get around him and dodge his Q, there's not much he can do.
