Hello! I am crocodile king, a North America Renekton main with an accumulated 800k mastery points on the champion. I've played

Renekton
since season 7 and have recently picked up a quite unusual pick, taking him jungle! But why Renekton jungle? I believe that if played right new items and runes allow renekton to get a very good clear as well as strong ganks. Moreover, the recent durability changes as well as renekton buffs, allow him to build more damage than before and stay strong throughout the late game.

Runes

Go these runes every game! Switch off health runes if against heavy AD OR AP.

Summoner Spells

On renekton jungle, both

Ghost
and
Flash
paired with
Smite
are strong options. Typically you will want to take
Ghost
against most comps for easier ganking, however,
Flash
is good for catching enemies off guard and is a fine alternative.

PROS & CONS

Pros

  • Point and click stun, perfect for locking down enemies.
  • Wins early duels against most.
  • Flexible pick.
  • Most junglers do not know how to play against it.
  • Very easy invades and river control.

    • Cons

  • Clearing not as good as other junglers.
  • Very squishy first couple items.
  • Slightly falls off in late game.

Ganking

Ganking on renekton is very strong when paired with

Ghost
and
Prowler's Claw
as they can allow you to reach your enemy extremely quickly and apply an on hit 1.5 second stun, almost always guaranteeing a free kill. Before ganking, gaining at least 50 fury will be extremely helpful in locking down kills, finishing a camp, eating river fruit, or using
Dominus
are all effective ways of building fury before ganking. When ganking always use
Ghost
as well empowered
Ruthless Predator
for easy lock downs on the enemy laner.



Clearing

Renektons clear can be a little tricky and heavily relies on his passive

Reign of Anger
as you will need to conserve your fury bar to effectvely sustain yourself while clearing. You typically want to only use your fury with
Cull the Meek
as it is best for dealing lots of AOE damage as well as get a much-needed heal. When taking singular camps such as gromp, blue buff, and red buff. Try to build fury with auto attacks but save it for camps with multiple enemies to maximize healing with
Cull the Meek
.

O M GEEE! I am SOOOO glad someone is finally talking about this pick! I have loved renekton ever since his release, I literally have a poster of him on my wall! Renekton jungle has to be my favorite pocket pick of all time. Thank you for this immaculate post crocodileking! Croc on!

Great guide! I played 7 games and won 6 of them and carried all. With a little bit of tomfoolery it works everytime. Excellent guide this is definitely an OP sleeper pick. Keep it up the one and only crocodile king.
